The PRC method: Problem · Response · Call to action
An effective talk is not a parade of impressive phrases. It is a pathway. Your audience should recognise the problem, understand your proposal and know what to do next.
Start with a concrete challenge your audience faces instead of a long biography. Provide one clear response, illustrated by a short example. End with a single action. If that action is too complex, make it smaller.
Problem: You have ideas, but hesitate when it is time to speak.
Response: Prepare one opening sentence, two ideas and a simple conclusion.
Action: Today, record a 60-second video and watch it once to identify one improvement.
Your turn: a 12-minute exercise
- Write down your audience’s precise problem.
- Write your response in a single jargon-free sentence.
- Add one example that makes it understandable.
- Choose an action achievable within 24 hours.
- Record your 60-second message.
How do you evaluate your talk?
Score yourself from 0 to 2 on: concrete problem, clear response, useful example, controlled pace and precise action. Aim to exceed 7/10 after three attempts.
You do not need professional equipment; your phone and a quiet place are enough.
